A short discussion on how funds are currently used for procurement in Sinai Central today.
Sinai Central currently supports non-capital and capital procurement with school funds. Since most punchout purchases (including custom forms and envelopes from Corporate Express) are non-capital purchases – in most cases, you will not be able to use a school purchase order to complete your business if you are trying to expense a hospital fund.
Hospital Purchase Orders are intended for capital purchases only. Currently, hospital funds have limited functionality in the online portal. Some departments are currently placing other transactions with a limited set of hospital funds in the system.
The transaction Hospital Purchase Order will probably not have a direct impact on your everyday business until fully implemented across the Medical Center. Most users will not be able to complete this type of transaction because they do not have access to hospital funds that are active during this limited engagement.
